This modern farmhouse inspired room is filled with delightful elements, ranging from linen window treatments and a plaid area rug to stunning custom farmhouse wall art. The atmosphere exudes timelessness, tranquility, and a romantic flair throughout.

As the transformation of this home will eventually extend to every corner, the flooring and the outdated wardrobe and room doors were set for replacement. Infusing their personal style into the Modern Farmhouse design included adding VJ paneling to the main focal wall, which was finished in a light complementary colour. They chose shaker style doors for both the wardrobe and entry, complete with matte black fixtures, along with light oak timber flooring, ideal selections for a Modern Farmhouse aesthetic.

The queen bed served as a stunning focal point in the room, inspiring the overall design. Incorporating key weathered timber elements was crucial for bringing the Modern Farmhouse aesthetic to life. The selected nightstands, sourced from Pottery Barn, feature kiln-dried solid mango wood with a beautifully engineered hardwood finish. They include elegant turned feet and fluted cast-iron drawer pulls, adding a romantic flair. An antique wooden ladder from Provincial Living not only enhances the style but also provides a practical place to store an extra blanket. Custom window drapery perfectly complements the room’s fixtures, infusing softness and sophistication. The curtains are made of natural linen, paired with beige linen for the roman blinds. For the area rug, a handwoven wool piece with an exaggerated plaid pattern was chosen. Its rich combination of brown, charcoal, and beige provides an expressive warmth that nods to traditional design, and it was imported from the US.
