In times like these we have to remember three important elements of life, here are some examples of how you can achieve these in isolation.

🌱 LIVE – This one's pretty simple, without it the others don’t matter. But while we are in isolation maybe take a look at how you live, do you love your surroundings, do they make you feel alive!

😆 LAUGH – Put on a great movie that makes you laugh, or a stand up comedy, you could even youtube a tone of funny stuff that can make you laugh.

❤️ LOVE – Show your family and friends you love them, Call them, FaceTime them, make them their favourite morning tea or coffee (if you are together), there are many ways to show love without touching.

Do you use fresh or faux foliage in your home decor? .
I use both, depending on my client’s needs, here are a few reasons why.

🌿 Some have time or remember to water them and keep them alive.

🌿 Some have any other coloured thumbs just not a green one. (lol, so it doesn’t matter what they do, they just can’t keep them alive)

🌿 Some love the look of certain foliage but the position in the space doesn't cater to living varieties. .
🌿 When you research and find faux foliage that is so lifelike the investment is worth the result.

Nothing beats a living plant life in a home and the benefit it brings to the air and the family living in the space.

Sometimes it just doesn't work for everyone and that's ok too, together we find a solution best suited to you.

Personally, I believe it's nice when you are hosting a special event to sent out formal invitations, this helps set the style and expectation for the event. .
It helps guests understand the event they are celebrating and how to prepare for it with things like .
Colours being used to theme the event
Dress codes - Formal, Semi Formal, Black Tie, etc 👔👗
Fancy Dress Themed – Gatsby, Country (Hats & Boots), Cammo, etc 👨‍🔧👩‍🌾🤠

Your invitation tells a lot about what to expect if its colours and wording indicate it’s a Glam event you are hardly going to turn up in jeans and a singlet but if it is a Facebook invite unless stated its an open style. .
Plus its easy to forget Great Aunt Audrey 👵 if you don’t plan your guest list, most people want to celebrate their event with all of there family and friends even the ones you might only see every third Christmas because they live on the other side of the country. .

When it came to decorating our Theatre room, we discussed many different styling options, (it can be hard when you have a husband who is also particular when it comes to decorating) .
After planning what we wanted on the walls we then decided we would use some of our son's old figurines to style the buffet and TV cabinet to complete the movie theme.
.
Luckily I kept them over the years once he had grown, I think they are an awesome idea to use for props styling in a space. An added bonus when I’m in the space, it reminds me of him and how little he once was. 👶👶👶

Your space emulates feelings this is one reason why I encourage my clients to use pieces that have memories within their space. Sometimes that’s how your space becomes yours. 😁
