modern Scandinavian design
silverdale project
This Silverdale project involved designing a multifunctional space within a single room that addresses three key objectives: enhancing brightness, improving aesthetics, and allowing for evolution as the teenager transitions into early adulthood. Taking into account her current preference for Modern Scandi style with a touch of luxury, we developed a plan that respects each style, making it easy to adjust the space as her tastes evolve. The main walls were finished in bright Dulux White, paired with a soothing green accent colour above a custom-designed vertical panelled ledge. This ledge serves a dual purpose: to draw the eye upward, creating an illusion of height and spaciousness, and to function as a headboard. To enhance this design, we added a pair of luxurious textured glass sconces on either side, providing both ambiance and framing for her bed. Creating a calming environment to study, sleep and chill out for hours. Additionally, we crafted a bespoke study and makeup station featuring a timber bench and simple white laminate drawers, accented with brushed brass knobs for added interest, along with a simple yet classic full-length mirror, which was a requested essential. The finishing touches included textured fabrics, hanging plants, and wooden elements that embody the Modern Scandi aesthetic while ensuring the space remains bright and welcoming. This will be a sanctuary that our client will treasure well into adulthood.
